Terms and Conditions
What you are agreeing to when you book a place, and what we are agreeing to in return.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Creator Academi CIC, Company No. 17213565, registered in England and Wales. Contact: keiron@creatoracademi.co.uk, 07808 600272.
By booking a place you confirm you are the parent or carer of the child attending, or that you are authorised to book on their behalf.
2. Booking and payment
- Bookings are made through Ticket Tailor at buytickets.at/creatoracademi.
- Payment is taken at the time of booking. A place is not held until payment has gone through.
- Current prices are shown on the booking page and confirmed before you pay. A place includes all equipment, and there are no additional fees on top of the advertised price.
- Ticket Tailor processes payment. We never see or hold your card details.
- School and referrer bookings are arranged directly and invoiced separately, on terms agreed in writing before delivery starts.
3. Cancellation and refunds
If you cancel
- More than 14 days before the first session: full refund.
- Between 14 and 7 days before the first session: 50% refund, or the full amount transferred to a later block or workshop if you would prefer.
- Less than 7 days before the first session: no refund, because the place has been held and the group size planned around it. If your circumstances have changed, email me anyway. I would rather sort something out than hold a family to a rule.
- Missed individual sessions within a block: not refundable, as the cost covers the block rather than each week.
If we cancel
- If we cancel a session, you will be offered a replacement date or a pro-rata refund, whichever you prefer.
- If we cancel a whole block before it starts, you get a full refund.
- Sessions may be cancelled at short notice for reasons outside our control, including a school closure, severe weather or illness. The same applies in those cases.
4. Behaviour and conduct
Sessions involve shared equipment, filming each other and working in pairs, so this matters.
- Children are expected to treat each other, the equipment and the room with respect.
- Where a session is hosted in a school, that school's own behaviour policy applies alongside these terms.
- If behaviour makes a session unsafe or stops other children taking part, we will speak to you first and work out how to fix it.
- We reserve the right to remove a child from a session or a block where behaviour is persistently unsafe or harmful to others. This is a last resort. Where it happens, refunds are considered case by case.
- Deliberate damage to equipment may be charged for at replacement cost.
5. Supervision, collection and medical information
- You must tell us about any medical condition, allergy, additional need or other information that affects how we should support your child, at the point of booking.
- We do not administer medication.
- For after-school clubs, collection arrangements follow the host school's normal arrangements for after-school activities.
- For weekend workshops, children must be collected by the adult named at booking, or by somebody you have told us about in advance.
6. Photography and video
Children film each other as part of every session. That is the activity. Anything used beyond the session requires your separate written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
7. Insurance and liability
- Creator Academi CIC holds public liability insurance. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
- All delivery is DBS checked and we operate under a written Safeguarding Policy. See our Safeguarding Statement.
- We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our own negligence or by our failure to meet these terms.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings children bring with them.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. The films children make
The film a child makes is theirs. We may keep a copy for the showcase screening and, where you have given consent, use it to show what sessions look like. We will not sell it or license it to anyone.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your booking is the one published at the time you booked. The date below shows when this version was published.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
