Creator Academi runs filmmaking clubs, workshops and alternative provision for young people across Rhondda Cynon Taf. Children plan, film and edit their own videos, and every session is planned and delivered by one person who has run all of them himself.

The problem

Kids watch hours of content a day. Almost none of them get shown how it's made.

That's the gap Creator Academi exists to close. Filming, editing and storytelling, taught safely by someone who does it for a living.

After-school clubs

A weekly club inside your child's school, run as a six-week block ending in a showcase screening.

A standalone two-hour session. Children arrive with nothing and leave having made and watched their own film.

I'm Keiron Phillips. I set Creator Academi up because I kept meeting kids who spend hours a day watching this stuff and had never once been shown how any of it is made.

Over ten years in content creation, Adobe Certified Professional, and previous experience in schools as a cover supervisor. I also host two weekly evening shows as a volunteer presenter on Rhondda Radio. Every session is planned and delivered by me.
